Cooking for Domestics

The joy of teaching is unbelievably rewarding.

By learning about kitchen safety, planning menus, selecting ingredients and preparing meals, domestic workers can have a huge impact on the health and happiness of the families they work for.  Learning how to cook well, will also improve their well-being and attitude.

Some helpers already have a wealth of food preparation experience and skill.  However, they may not be as familiar with specific food types that you enjoy,  or would like to learn more about baking or advanced cooking topics.

  • The next Beginners course will start the first Thursday in March 2024  The course is over 4 Thursday mornings, 9am to 1pm.
  • The course includes all equipment and ingredients.
  • Each person cook at their own station and the class is fully hands-on.  They also cook 2 portions per meal.  One they get to sit at a table they learn to set and enjoy their cooking.  The other portion goes home for you to taste.  Their homework per week is to draw up the shopping list and cook the meal at least once.
