The chef in the room

One chef, two kitchens in Midstream, and a stubborn belief that anyone can learn to cook properly.

Meet Chef Anni

I turn food into memories.

I started Kitchen Addiction because I believe good food shouldn’t feel complicated or intimidating. Cooking is a skill that can be learned — and once you understand the basics, you can walk into your kitchen with confidence and actually enjoy being there.

I’m a professionally trained and certified chef, but some of my favourite moments don’t happen in professional kitchens. They happen around a table, when someone tastes something they’ve made themselves and realises, “I can actually do this.”

For the past nine years, I’ve been teaching home cooks practical, hands-on chef skills. We don’t just work through recipes. I teach you how to plan a menu, shop and prepare properly, organise your mise en place, use your knife with confidence, understand ingredients and flavours, and bring everything together into a meal you’re proud to serve.

My cooking experiences are intentionally small and personal. You won’t spend the class sitting and watching me cook. You’ll chop, mix, taste, season, make mistakes, ask questions and learn by doing. I’m right there beside you to guide you and share the little techniques and habits that make cooking easier.

That same philosophy runs through every Kitchen Addiction experience — whether I’m teaching someone who is just starting out, welcoming friends for a social cooking experience or bringing a corporate team together in the kitchen.

Because for me, cooking has always been about more than the food.

It’s about learning something new, laughing around the kitchen, gaining confidence and eventually sitting down together to enjoy what we’ve created.

Cook. Connect. Learn. Experience.

That’s Kitchen Addiction.
